Where Shopify is better
- The app ecosystem Shopify’s App Store has thousands of apps for almost any need. Waise builds the common ones in (cart upsell, bundles, reviews, automations), but if you rely on a specialised app, Shopify likely has it and we may not.
- A built-in AI assistant Shopify has Sidekick, an AI assistant built into its admin. Waise has one too (Pulse), so neither of us can call this exclusive. The differences are listed below.
- Shopify Payments in the US With Shopify Payments, Shopify adds no transaction fee of its own on top of card processing. If you use it, our “no percentage” advantage is smaller: compare your full bill, apps included.
- Track record and community Shopify is a large, long-established platform with a wide network of agencies, developers and point-of-sale hardware. Waise is new, and smaller.

Moving from Shopify?
- I have a Shopify store. What exactly moves over, and how long does it take? Paste your store’s address into the wizard, and up to 2,000 products come over: names, descriptions, variants, prices, categories and up to 15 photos per product. Customers and orders come from Shopify’s export file. A product in a foreign currency or without a photo arrives as a draft, so you can look it over. How long it takes depends on how many products and photos you have. WooCommerce works the same way, and Wix moves over from a file.
