Waise vs other ecommerce platforms
Waise is one of several ways to sell online. Against Shopify, Wix, Squarespace, BigCommerce and WooCommerce, it offers one flat plan from $29 a month, 0% of your sales and a store run by chat, and each of them is stronger somewhere else. Every comparison here says where, with official prices and dates.
In every comparison: where they are better, where we are, and where every number came from.
The comparisons
- Waise vs Shopify With an outside payment processor, Shopify takes 2% of every sale on its Basic plan, waived only if you use Shopify Payments. On Waise: 0% fees and no fee per order, on every plan. On Shopify: 2%, 1% or 0.6%, depending on the plan. Checked against Shopify’s pricing page on Oct 4, 2026.
- Waise vs Wix Wix builds any kind of website. Waise builds one thing: a store you run by chat.
- Waise vs Squarespace Squarespace’s Basic plan adds a 2% fee on store sales. Checked on Nov 8, 2026.
- Waise vs BigCommerce On BigCommerce the plan moves up on its own once yearly sales pass a cap. On Waise the plan is never tied to your sales.
- Waise vs WooCommerce The plugin is free, but hosting is on you: usually $25 to $350 a month. Extensions cost $29 to $299 a year, each. On Waise: hosting, updates, security and backups are already built in. Nothing to install. Per WooCommerce’s pricing page. Checked on Oct 4, 2026.

How we compare
Every competitor figure is taken from its official US page, in dollars, with the date we checked it. We write where they are better first. A figure we could not find on the official page is not shown.
The online store that runs itself, with brakes
- AI that acts, with brakes. Pulse changes orders, prices, discounts and content from one conversation. A sensitive change first shows a before-and-after card and waits for your approval, and almost any change can be undone.
- Your money is protected on the server, not by a promise. Anything touching money needs a confirmation tied to the exact values you saw, and the margin guard blocks a price below your minimum, even when an outside AI asks for it.
- Profit, not just sales. An order counts only once your payment provider confirms the money, and profit is worked out after fees, shipping, cost of goods and refunds.
- Open to your own AI. Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini connect to your store over MCP and pass through exactly the same brakes.
- Five ways to build, one system behind them. A ready theme, designing by chat with Pulse, your own code, outside builders like Lovable or Webflow, or your own AI. Checkout, orders, customers and money stay in one place.
- 0% of your sales. One flat monthly plan. When your store grows, our cut doesn’t, because there isn’t one.
- Built by someone who sold. Or Avrahami, a practical electronics and computer engineer, ran an online store on Shopify and built what that store needed. That became Waise.
