Straight answers about choosing an ecommerce platform
Five questions with a clear constraint: no transaction fees, an included AI assistant, no apps, a flat price and a Hebrew store. Each answer sets Waise beside Shopify, Wix and Squarespace, with a table, official sources, a check date, and the cases where something else is the better pick.
| Question | Short answer | Source and date |
|---|---|---|
| Which ecommerce platforms charge no transaction fees? | Waise, Ecwid, Big Cartel and WooCommerce add no platform fee of their own. Card processing applies everywhere. | support.squarespace.com Checked |
| Which ecommerce platform includes an AI assistant at no extra cost? | Shopify and Waise include an assistant in the plan. Waise and Squarespace publish their limits in numbers. | shopify.com Checked |
| Can I run an online store without buying apps? | Yes, for a small store. The difference is what’s built in: reviews, abandoned carts, bundles and a loyalty club. | shopify.com Checked |
| Which ecommerce platform has a flat price that doesn’t grow with sales? | On Waise the price depends on quotas, not sales. BigCommerce has sales limits that move you up a plan. | bigcommerce.com Checked |
| Hebrew online store builder | Waise is built in Hebrew, right to left, with six Israeli card processors and 0% fees. | help.shopify.com Checked |
Who this suits, and who it doesn’t
A good fit
- Anyone with a specific constraint who wants a sourced answer
- A small or mid-sized store owner comparing costs
- A reader who also wants to see when Waise is the wrong choice
Pick something else
- A physical shop that needs point-of-sale hardware: Waise has none
- A store that depends on a specialized app: Shopify is more likely to have it
- A business that needs a large agency and developer network: Waise is newer and smaller
Questions
Why do these pages name other platforms?
Because someone asking a specific question wants the whole answer. Where another platform fits better, the page says so.
Who wrote these pages, and how are the figures checked?
Waise wrote them, so we have a stake. Every competitor figure links to the official page with the date it was checked. What we could not confirm is left out.
How often is this updated?
At each update we re-check the official pages and change the date beside each source. Prices change, so confirm on the official page before you decide.
The online store that runs itself, with brakes
- AI that acts, with brakes. Pulse changes orders, prices, discounts and content from one conversation. A sensitive change first shows a before-and-after card and waits for your approval, and almost any change can be undone.
- Your money is protected on the server, not by a promise. Anything touching money needs a confirmation tied to the exact values you saw, and the margin guard blocks a price below your minimum, even when an outside AI asks for it.
- Profit, not just sales. An order counts only once your payment provider confirms the money, and profit is worked out after fees, shipping, cost of goods and refunds.
- Open to your own AI. Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini connect to your store over MCP and pass through exactly the same brakes.
- Five ways to build, one system behind them. A ready theme, designing by chat with Pulse, your own code, outside builders like Lovable or Webflow, or your own AI. Checkout, orders, customers and money stay in one place.
- 0% of your sales. One flat monthly plan. When your store grows, our cut doesn’t, because there isn’t one.
- Built by someone who sold. Or Avrahami, a practical electronics and computer engineer, ran an online store on Shopify and built what that store needed. That became Waise.
