Which ecommerce platform has a flat price that doesn’t grow with sales?
On Waise ($29–$299 a month) the price depends on quotas, not sales. Ecwid and Big Cartel price by product count, also not by sales. BigCommerce moves you up a plan above a sales limit, Shopify takes a percentage without Shopify Payments, and Plus pricing may include a revenue-based part.

US list prices in dollars, billed monthly.
Three ways a price grows
- A sales limit: pass a set amount and you pay for a higher plan (BigCommerce).
- A percentage of each sale: a fee the platform adds on every sale (Shopify with an outside processor, Squarespace Basic).
- Revenue-based pricing: a variable platform fee for large brands (Shopify Plus, which “might” apply).
What you pay for on Waise
Plans differ by monthly quotas, not sales: Pulse conversations (100–5,000), shopper chats (100–10,000), emails (3,000–150,000) and team seats. A large store will likely need a higher plan, because of those quotas rather than its sales.
Who this suits, and who it doesn’t
A good fit
- A growing store that doesn’t want its bill to rise with sales
- An owner who wants to know the monthly cost in advance
- A merchant using an outside processor
Pick something else
- A large brand with a team and millions in sales: Shopify Plus or BigCommerce Performance are built for that
- Someone selling very little: Big Cartel is free to 5 products, and Ecwid starts at $5
- A store that sends a lot of email: check the email quota before choosing a plan
Questions
Does the price on Waise ever go up?
Not because of sales. If you pass a plan’s quotas, such as email or chats, you can upgrade or add a pack, and an add-on is charged only if you set a limit for it. A sale is never blocked.
What happens on BigCommerce when you pass the limit?
On Core and Growth you’re automatically moved to the next plan, by trailing 12-month sales. On Scale you pay 0.9% on what’s above the monthly limit.
What about card processing?
It grows with sales on every platform, because it’s a percentage of each transaction. A flat price is about what the platform charges, not about processing.
The online store that runs itself, with brakes
- AI that acts, with brakes. Pulse changes orders, prices, discounts and content from one conversation. A sensitive change first shows a before-and-after card and waits for your approval, and almost any change can be undone.
- Your money is protected on the server, not by a promise. Anything touching money needs a confirmation tied to the exact values you saw, and the margin guard blocks a price below your minimum, even when an outside AI asks for it.
- Profit, not just sales. An order counts only once your payment provider confirms the money, and profit is worked out after fees, shipping, cost of goods and refunds.
- Open to your own AI. Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini connect to your store over MCP and pass through exactly the same brakes.
- Five ways to build, one system behind them. A ready theme, designing by chat with Pulse, your own code, outside builders like Lovable or Webflow, or your own AI. Checkout, orders, customers and money stay in one place.
- 0% of your sales. One flat monthly plan. When your store grows, our cut doesn’t, because there isn’t one.
- Built by someone who sold. Or Avrahami, a practical electronics and computer engineer, ran an online store on Shopify and built what that store needed. That became Waise.
