How do I export my store's data, or delete my store?

Download everything in one file, bring a store back from it, or delete a store with 30 days to change your mind.

What is in the export

• A spreadsheet workbook you can read: summary, customers, orders, products, expenses and monthly profit.
• data.json, with every commerce table as stored. This is what brings the store back.
• The files you uploaded: product pictures, receipts and media.

Staff accounts, sessions, tokens, connections and secrets are never put in the file. You can export up to five times an hour. The export works even while the store is paused.

Coming back from a file

Open "Coming back to Waise?" on the My stores page. A file is poured only into a fresh store with no orders and no customers, so nothing can collide with live data. If the restore fails, the store's data is left unchanged.

Deleting a store

Press "Delete" on the store's card and confirm. The store is paused and its data is permanently deleted after 30 days. Until then you can press "Restore the store" (or "Restore now") or export everything.

If you cancel instead

A store whose subscription was cancelled and whose paid period has ended, or that was suspended, is kept for 90 days. In that time you can come back or ask for all your data as files. After that Waise may delete the store and its data. An encrypted off-site backup can remain up to 30 more days and is then purged. Records the law requires Waise to keep are kept as the law requires.

Note Waise does not currently describe a separate step for deleting the Waise account itself. Delete or export each store from My stores, and write to help@waise.app about the account.
