How do I follow up on abandoned checkouts?
Sales → Open payments → Abandoned carts lists shoppers who started to pay and did not finish, with the reason. You can message them and copy their payment link.
Only shoppers who did not pay appear here. No order was created, and nothing is sent to be shipped. Details are saved as the shopper types them at checkout, and the reason is recorded when the payment closes.
What you see
- At the top: the value that was not completed, why shoppers did not finish (Declined by the processor, Left at the payment page, Never tried to pay), and how many came back.
- Tabs: New, All, Not handled / in progress, Handled. You can search by name, phone, email or number.
- On each card: what was in the cart, its value, when, and the reason.
What you can do
- WhatsApp opens your WhatsApp with a ready message. Call dials the number. Both are logged on the card, which moves to In progress.
- Copy payment link gives you a link to send. The shopper continues where they stopped.
- Close, with How did it end?: Bought, Not interested or No answer. You can tick several cards and close them together.
- Click a name to open a follow-up panel: set a date to get back to them (Tomorrow, In 3 days, In a week), add a note and read the history.
If the shopper completes a purchase later, the card closes by itself as Bought.
Reminder emails
You may contact someone to help them finish an order. A marketing message, such as a sale or another product, goes only to people marked Opted in. The automatic reminder email also goes only to them. You can edit and switch it on under Marketing → Automatic mail → By order stage.
Tip If your store takes payments through Grow (Israel), cards that never became an order also show Check again with Grow and Charged in Grow? Create the order. Use them when you saw the charge yourself.
Questions
Is a shopper who paid by bank transfer or cash here?
No. Orders waiting for you to confirm a payment you receive outside the site appear in Sales → Open payments → Awaiting payment confirmation, with stock held until the time runs out.
