Why does my checkout say “Leave your details”?
Your store is in preview mode and collects requests instead of payments. Here is what causes it and how to turn payments on.
When the checkout can’t take money yet, it doesn’t send the shopper into a payment that would fail. It collects their name, phone and basket as a request, so you can follow up. Shoppers see: “This store isn’t taking online payments yet. Leave your details and we’ll get back to you to complete your order.”
What can cause it
- No payment processor is connected yet. Connect one in Settings, then Payments. See How do I connect a payment processor?.
- Stripe is connected but hasn’t turned on payments for your account yet. Finish your business and bank details in your Stripe dashboard.
- You are in your free trial and haven’t saved a card with Waise. Until you do, shoppers can’t pay by any route. Saving a card charges nothing today. Use Save a card on the Waise subscription screen.
- A processor you chose stopped working, or the business details or shipping you skipped in setup are still missing.
The store itself stays open and visible throughout. The moment a working processor is connected, the store sells normally.
Tip If a charge to your Waise subscription failed, you may see a similar message after several days. See My monthly charge didn’t go through.
Questions
Can shoppers still browse my store?
Yes. Only the payment step changes. The store stays open and visible, and the cart works.
