How do I group products into categories?
Create a category (called a collection on its screen), give it a name and picture, and tick the products that belong in it.
Step by step
- Open Store → Categories and choose New collection.
- Type a name, for example Gifts, and choose Create.
- On the category page, check the name and address, and add a description and a picture. The picture shows on the category card.
- Under Products in this collection, search for products and click the ones that belong. A counter shows how many are selected.
- Choose Save.
A category is a group of products that shoppers can browse together. A product can sit in more than one category. You choose the products yourself: there are no automatic rules.
Search and sharing
Each category has an SEO title and a meta description, which control how it looks in search results and when shared. If you leave them empty, Waise uses the category name.
Deleting a category
Deleting a category does not delete the products in it. Waise asks you to confirm first.
Tip To show a category in your menu or on the home page, use the store editor and the main menu.
