How do I move my products from Shopify or another platform?
Use Settings → Connections → Import and export. Paste your store address, or upload CSV, Excel or ZIP files, review what was found, then choose Import.
Step by step
- Open Settings → Connections → Import and export and choose Bring a shop in.
- Under Where are you moving from?, choose Shopify, WooCommerce, Wix, Other / Excel file or Another Waise store.
- For Shopify and WooCommerce, type your existing store address and choose Read the products. No password is needed.
- For customers and orders, or for any other platform, export files from your old shop, then choose Choose files (or drag them in) and Read the files. CSV, Excel and ZIP are accepted.
- Read What was found: products, variants, photos to download, pages and articles, and discount codes.
- Under What to import, tick what you want. Turn on Update what is already in the shop only if you want the file to overwrite existing products.
- Choose Import. You can leave the screen: the import continues in the background.
- When Import finished appears, check the summary and choose Go to products.
How to export from your old platform
- Shopify: Products → Export, Customers → Export, Orders → Export. Choose All products and CSV.
- WooCommerce: in WordPress, Products → Export (CSV). Customers and orders come from the export plugin you use, as CSV or Excel.
- Wix: Products → More actions → Export. Customers: Contacts → Export.
- Other: any CSV or Excel file with a header row, such as name, price, image and SKU. A customer file needs columns such as email and phone. A reviews file, from Judge.me for example, is recognised by its rating and review columns.
- Another Waise store: upload the ZIP from its Full export as it downloaded.
Good to know
- Nothing is written to your store until you have seen what was found and pressed Import.
- Photos are downloaded into your store, so they stay even if the old shop closes.
- What already exists is not overwritten unless you turn on the update option. Marketing consent never changes: anyone who unsubscribed stays unsubscribed.
- Imported orders send no emails and start no automations.
- Customers and orders come only from files, because they are not visible on a public store address.
- Products without a photo or a price wait as drafts. Fill them in, then publish. See Add a product.
You can also start the move in the setup wizard: choose I already have a store, then Move the products. Make sure the content is yours, or that you have permission to use it. Importing other people's content without permission is against the law.
Questions
Can I take my data out of Waise?
Yes. On the same screen, Take everything with you gives you one ZIP file: products in Shopify's import format, customers with when and where they agreed to mailings, orders, and a full backup of reviews, pages, posts, discount codes and automations. Passwords and payment keys are not included. Only someone who manages the team can download it, because it holds customer details.
I want to export just my products list.
In Store → Products, choose Export to Excel.
