What do Live, Draft and Archived mean for a product?
Live products can be bought. Drafts are hidden while you prepare them. Archived products leave the store but keep their history.
The three statuses
- Live (Active): shown in the store and available to buy.
- Draft: not shown in the store, and the direct link says "not found". For a product that is still being prepared. A new product starts as a draft.
- Archived: removed from the store, but kept together with its history. Past orders still show it.
How to change the status
- In Store → Products, the switch on a product row turns it off (hides it) or on again, without deleting anything.
- On the product screen, under Publishing and filing, choose the Status. A draft has a Publish button at the top.
- To filter the list, use All, Live, Drafts, Archived or Low stock.
Note Delete the product, under More on the product screen, removes it for good and cannot be undone. Archive it instead if you only want it out of the store.
