How do I set up shipping rates and delivery times?

Add shipping methods in Settings → Shipping methods. Each has its own price, delivery time, destinations and products. Shoppers choose one at checkout.

Step by step

  1. Open Settings → Shipping methods → Methods and prices and choose New method.
  2. Under How does the customer get the order?, choose the type: Home delivery, Express delivery, Pickup point or Self pickup.
  3. Type the Name shown at checkout, for example Standard shipping. Add a Description if you like.
  4. Under What does it cost the customer?, choose Free, or Paid and enter the price.
  5. Optional: turn on Free over a certain amount and enter the amount. Checkout then shows the shopper how much is left for free delivery.
  6. Under How soon does it ship?, enter the business days from payment until the parcel leaves you.
  7. Under How long does it take to arrive?, enter the maximum business days of the delivery itself, and the minimum if you want a range.
  8. Under Where to, and for which products?, choose where the method ships and whether it applies to all products or only some.
  9. Make sure Method is active is on, then choose Add method.

A shipping method is one way an order can reach the customer, with its own price and time. At checkout, the shopper sees the methods that can carry everything in their cart and chooses one. The price charged is the price they picked.

Types

Price by weight (outside Israel)

For a paid method, choose + Price by weight and add steps such as Up to 1 lb costs this much. Set the weight of each product option on the product screen. A cart heavier than the last step cannot use that method. If a weight is unknown, the flat price applies.

Where it ships (outside Israel)

Under Ships to, pick the countries. Leave it empty to ship only within your own country. Under States, choose All states, Only these states, or All except these states.

Where delivery times show

The delivery time appears on the product page, at checkout, on the order page and in the confirmation email. With several active methods, Waise shows the range that covers all of them.

Changing a method later

Note If no method is active, checkout charges no delivery. Set up at least one so the delivery time and price come from one place.

On the same screen, Promise vs. reality compares the delivery time you promise with how long orders really took. After at least 10 deliveries on a method it can suggest a promise that fits.

Questions

Can I offer free shipping on everything?
