What happens when I use up a monthly quota?
No quota ever stops a sale. Each one has its own behavior at the limit, and you can set a monthly add-on limit or upgrade.
Your plan includes monthly quotas. They renew on the 1st of each month. Open Settings, then Subscription, and look at Usage this month to see where you stand. At 80% of a quota, Waise sends you one email for it that month, and your bell shows it. Nothing is blocked: no sale is ever blocked, and no quota is consulted by checkout.
What happens at 100%
- Pulse conversations: Pulse does not disappear. It switches to Economy mode, where it still answers on the lighter model. You can add a Pulse pack or upgrade. Plain clicks, forms and quick commands don’t count as conversations.
- Shopper chats: chats beyond the quota are charged $0.10 each, but only up to your own monthly add-on limit. The default limit is $0, so nothing is charged unless you set one. A chat that doesn’t fit is answered from your store’s free answers.
- AI content creations (descriptions, images, posts): a 50-creation add-on ($5) is taken if your add-on limit allows it. Otherwise Waise tells you the allowance is used and shows the options.
- Calls from Claude, ChatGPT and Gemini: these have no add-on. Upgrade, or wait for the 1st.
- Marketing emails: sending stops for the rest of the month unless you have an email pack. A pack of 10,000 emails costs $12 and doesn’t expire. Order, shipping and account emails never count.
- Receipts scanned into Finance: the receipt is kept, and you type its details by hand.
Limits on how many you have at once
Active automations, webhooks, bundles and upsell offers, discount codes, connected ad accounts, fulfilment partners, premium themes, store languages and team seats work differently. What already runs keeps running. The next one is saved as a draft (off) until you upgrade or turn another off. A team seat that is over the limit means the invitation isn’t made. Nobody loses access.
Your monthly add-on limit
Under Usage this month you can set a Monthly add-on limit. 0 = never charge add-ons. Up to this amount a month, extra Pulse packs, shopper chats, 10,000 emails and 50 AI creations are added to your monthly invoice when the quota runs out. Waise never charges an add-on you haven’t allowed. Used this month shows how much of the limit is spent.
You can also buy a pack by hand. Under Marketing mail and messages there are buttons for more Pulse conversations and for email packs, charged at once as an explicit purchase.
Tip The Usage this month panel also shows the next plan, what it adds and its price difference, with a button to switch.
Questions
Does using Pulse’s economy mode cost extra?
No. It is what happens when the Pulse allowance is used up and you haven’t added a pack. You are only charged for a pack or add-on you chose or allowed.
When does my quota reset?
On the 1st of every month.
